The Indo-Caribbean Society (ICS) hosted a Christmas Festival which was attended by people from numerous Indo-Caribbean communities across countries like Guyana, Suriname, Trinidad & Tobago, Jamaica, and Belize.
The event, featuring carols, music, dance, and poem recitals, was hosted on the Zoom platform on 30 December 2021 and streamed live on Facebook.
The Christmas celebrations are part of ICS initiatives to encourage interdisciplinary and cross-cultural research. With chapters in various Caribbean nations, the ICS strives to generate awareness about the heritage of Indian and Caribbean communities, especially, among the younger generation, promote goodwill, friendship, and unity among the Indian and Caribbean communities, and organize social, educational, health, and cultural activities.
