The Indo-Caribbean Society (ICS) has been conducting interview sessions, webinars, and seminars with companies worldwide. What this does is that it gains the companies a needed exposure in the Caribbean region as well as in India.
The Indo-Caribbean Society, as an organization, strives to strengthen the ties between Indian and Caribbean communities. Texila American University facilitated this session in collaboration with ICS.
The participants included Mr. Bala Kumar from ICS, Dr. RKS Mangesh Dash, and Dr. Swati.
The session was started after Dr. Swati introduced Dr. Mangesh to the audience. Dr. Mangesh is a professional with 23 years of experience in the field of HR & OB. He is also an NLP trainer.
Mr. Bala also mentioned that Dr. Swati was awarded the “Emerging woman leader award.” She has been the director of a business school in India and is also an NLP practitioner.
The interview began with Mr. Bala asking Dr. Mangesh about how he entered the field of NLP. Dr. Mangesh then went on to describe in detail his journey of being a professor in the area of behavioral psychology, then a corporate trainer, and then a dean at an institution at a very young age.
The interview session then proceeded on a positive note with Dr. Mangesh detailing how NLP can be applied to training the mind and how it helps people become successful and empowered. He added that NLP could be used to lift a person who is down and can then be used to provide momentum towards an upward trend.
He mentions that NLP helps people achieve what they have in mind and what they want in life. NLP is problem-driven and solution-focused, he said. Dr. Mangesh then mentioned how NLP could be used to match the competency gap and provide stagewise improvement in training. He compares how the field of training has started from being active to becoming development-focused currently.
Dr. Mangesh and Dr. Swati then gave a detailed description of NLP and how NLP can be applied. The interview came to an end with Dr. Mangesh talking about his institution, the Center for Human Development and Neuro-Linguistic Research (CHDNLR), and how they are trying to tie up with universities to offer NLP as a course.
At the end of the interview, Dr. Mangesh talked about the people he has helped, politicians, cricket players, doctors, management, HR professionals, medical sales representatives, financial marketing personnel, etc.
